Junior Research Fellow in Mody Institute of Technology and Science

Mody Institute of Technology and Science invites application for a Junior Research Fellow for a period of three years to work for Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, New Delhi sponsored Project (No. BT/PR13129/GBD/27/197/2009) entitled ‘RNAi mediated resistance against begomovirus’ under Dr Rajarshi Kumar Gaur, Principal Investigator.
Qualification : M.Sc. (Biotechnology/Microbiology/Life Sciences/Biological Science)
Period : Three years
Emoluments : Rs 12,000 p.m. + HRA

Junior Research Fellow vacancies in Division of Plant Physiology, Indian Agriculture Research Institute, New Delhi

Walk in interview on 07. 09.2009 at 10.00 am for the two posts of Junior Research Fellow, in the pay scales of Rs.12000/ + HRA in the DST sponsored project on “Cloning and overexpression of the genes encoding high affinity nitrate transporter in Brassica juncea and wheat” at the Division of Plant Physiology, IARI, New Delhi-110012.
Qualifications
Essential: M.Sc. in Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology /Plant Physiology
Desirable: Experience in molecular techniques and physio-biochemical assays, tissue culture.
Age: 35 years.
Terms and conditions:
1.      Relaxation in age for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per ICAR norms.
2.      No Objection and experience certificate from the current employer in case he/she is in employment.
3.      The above positions are purely contractual, co-terminus with the project / scheme, and offered initially for a period of one year and further extendable based on satisfactory performance for the remaining period of the project. Selected candidates will not be entitled to claim for regular appointments/absorption either in this institute or ICAR
4.      No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
5.      Candidates may appear for walk-in-interview with bio-data, reprints of publications, thesis, reports etc., passport size attested photos, original certificates and attested photocopies of all certificates, mark sheets, degrees and testimonials.
6.      Candidates reaching after specified timing may not ordinarily be entertained.
7.      Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature. The Director’s decision will be final and binding in all respects.
