INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY GUWAHATI INVITES APPLICATION FOR PHD AND MTECH

Admission to the PhD Programme for the session starting in January 2008

Applications are invited for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme starting in January 2008.

Eligibility for Regular PhD Candidate

For PhD: Science

a) Masters degree in the relevant discipline with a first class or a minimum of 60% marks or a C.P.I. of 6.5 or equivalent and a valid GATE score or NET qualification.

For PhD: Engineering

General qualifications

a) MTech degree or equivalent in an appropriate area with minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% marks, OR

b) BTech degree or equivalent in an appropriate area with a CPI of at least 8.00 or 75% marks and a valid GATE score, OR

c) BTech degree from an IIT in an appropriate area with a CPI of at least 8.0 with or without a GATE score.
